Our 2017 Event Calendar

After a week or so of being closed due to the Detwiler Fire, our Board President MaryAnn Huff announced that “In order to better accommodate visitors to the area, the museum’s hours of operation in 2017 will be Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. plus most long holiday weekends”.  These additional Mondays will include:  President’s Day, Mon. Feb. 20th; Memorial Day, Mon. May 29th; both Monday July 3rd and Tuesday July 4th on Independence Day weekend and Labor Day, Monday September 4th, 2017.

Anyone interested in becoming a docent can contact the museum at (209)878-3015 or Helen Bauman (209)878-3483.

The commitment is for only 3 hours a month and in addition to that great feeling you get from knowing you are contributing to the community, you will get to know a great group of interesting fellow volunteers at the various gatherings scheduled throughout the year.

At the Coulterville Old Schoolhouse (Corner of Broadway & Cemetery Sts.) in Coulterville.

This year’s dates are: Second Sunday of each month.
Enjoy a great breakfast of pancakes (all you can eat), eggs cooked to order, ham or sausage and fresh fruit.  Lots of hot coffee, tea or cocoa.  OJ & Milk available too.

Adults are $5.00, children $3.00 and a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) is just $15.00.

Raffle tickets are available for a chance to win instant prizes.

Proceeds of this monthly event are used to cover operating expenses of the Coulterville museum.

The Breakfast Comittee is looking for additional volunteers.  If you can help out once-a-month, please give the museum office a call at 878-3015.  This is the oldest and most consistent fundraising event that the NMCHC sponsors.  In fact it started when the museum was just an idea in a few folks’ heads.  It not only raises money for the museum, it also offers a great opportunity to say hello to your neighbor and stay in touch with friends!
