Lecture Series 2016

The next in our series of Spring Speakers, the next lecture will be Saturday Apr 2nd, 2016. Our featured guest will be our own Linette St. Vrain who will share her pioneer family’s history since arriving in California during the 1850’s. Including information about their early settlement in Pleasant Valley (an area flooded by the creation of Lake McClure), the establishment of Varain Ranch in New Years Diggings in the 1850’s (now part of the Lake Don Pedro area) and some of their more “colorful” descendents. The Varain Family is also this year’s featured pioneer family at the museum.

Please join us at the IOOF hall in Coulterville beginning at 4:00 p.m.
